Abraham Lincoln University is accredited by the Distance Education Accrediting Commission. The Accrediting Commission is listed by the U.S. Department of Education as a nationally recognized accrediting agency and is a recognized member of the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
The Accrediting Commission is a charter member of the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), the leading non-governmental recognition for accrediting associations. A national advocate and institutional voice for self-regulation of academic quality through accreditation, CHEA is an association of 3,000 degree-granting colleges and universities and recognizes 60 institutional and programmatic accrediting organizations.
Dr. Oleg Maksimov
Dr. Oleg Maksimov teaches both introductory and advanced science courses at ALU. He was born in Moscow, Russia, and moved to the United States in 1995 and received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the City University of New York in February 2002. After graduation, he worked as a Postdoctoral Research Assistant in the Department of Physics of the Pennsylvania State University (2002-2004) and as a Research Associate in the Materials Research Institute at the Pennsylvania State University (2003-2005). During the last year of his work in the Pennsylvania State University, Dr. Maksimov got involved in distance education and online learning. Since then Dr. Maksimov has worked as an Adjunct Faculty member and Subject Matter Expert for a number of schools, developed interactive online textbooks and online courses and taught a wide range of courses in Natural and Physical Sciences. He has also acted as a program evaluator for the American Council on Education and a proposal reviewer for the Research Foundation of the City University of New York.
