Program Description

Associate of Arts in General Studies

The General Studies Associate Degree program aims to prepare students for entry-level positions in business, industry, and non-profit organizations and is a unique, career-oriented way to earn a liberal arts education.


Upon successful completion of the Associate of Arts in General Studies Degree, students will have acquired the knowledge and skills to:

  • Demonstrate a foundation in liberal arts through specific knowledge and technical skills that support and facilitates lifelong professional development.
  • Utilize critical thinking, creative and logical analysis, strategies, and techniques to solve complex individual and social problems.
  • Implement and apply current technical solutions to individual and social activities, systems, and processes.
  • Apply sound general principles to the functions of planning, organizing, coordinating and decision making to individual and social operations.
