Pre-Acceptance Standard for all TRANSFER Students

1. Completed Application for Admissions (E-Signed and dated)
2. Must have paid $50.00 Application Fee (Online, Money Order, Check and/or Phone)
3. Completed Online Assessment Test
4. Copy of LSAT Score (if applicable)
   * Score of 140+ will only require Personal Statement/Essay. NO ONLINE ASSESSMENT TEST.
5. Personal Statement/Essay. (Essay must be 1000 words.)
   * Why are you transferring?
   * What factors have changed since attending your previous law school?
   * Why do you want to complete your law degree at ALU?
   * How can ALU help you succeed in getting a legal education?
6. Professional Resume
7. Foreign Evaluation and Attestation: For Foreign Students Only.
8. 2 Letters of Recommendation.
   * Must be Academic and/or Job-Related
9. "Official" College Transcripts for Undergrad and previous Law School
10. Bar Evaluation Attestation: You must submit your Official Law School Transcript to The State Bar of California Committee of Bar Examiners/Office of Admissions. I will assist you with the requirements. CalBar Evaluation Form
    * When you receive their decision, you must provide ALU with a copy. An Enrollment Agreement with your Official Plan of Study will then be provided. You will need to sign, date, and initial where indicated and return to me via FAX @ (310) 204-7025.



Official Acceptance from Abraham Lincoln University

You will be advised when the Academic Committee has made its decision.
If ACCEPTED, you must provide the following:
11. Tuition Options: You have elected to apply for a SALLIE MAE Career Loan and have been APPROVED, or you have elected ALU's Payment Plan which consists of the following: (Payment Plan: $2,650 Down Payment, 9-payments of $500,
    and 1-payment of $250.) Should you elect ALU's Payment Plan your Tuition Down Payment of $2,650 is due immediately.

Once you have completed all of the above, you will be provided your Acceptance Package that will include the following:

1. Student ID: registration instructions provided so that you can begin navigating as a current student
2. Westlaw E-Library Card: registration instructions provided
3. ALU Book Store: location and website information provided
4. ALU School/Course Calendar: information provided
