Pre-Enrollment Acceptance Criteria Policy

It is the policy of Abraham Lincoln University School of Law to advise applicants that Pre-Admission files not completed within 2 weeks of submittal could be forfeited.
If you require additional time to complete the admissions process, contact your Enrollment Manager. Due to the high volume of applicants, Pre-Admission files are submitted to the Acceptance Committee on a first serve, first completed basis, every Tuesday and Thursday.

[New First Year BAR/NON-BAR Students]

Pre-Acceptance Standards

  1. Completed Application for Admissions. (E-Signed and dated)
  2. Paid $50.00 Application Fee.
  3. Completed & Graded Online Assessment Test.
  4. LSAT Score (if applicable) 140+ will only require Personal Statement/Essay.
    NO ASSESSMENT TEST.
  5. Personal Statement/Essay. (Essay must be 300-500 words.)
    * Why you want to attend Abraham Lincoln University?
    * What will you do when you receive your JD Degree?
  6. Professional Resume.
  7. Foreign Evaluation and Attestation: For Foreign Students Only.
  8. "Official" CLEP Transcripts: For CLEP Students Only.
  9. 2 Letters of Recommendation.
    * Must be Academic and/or Job-Related
  10. "Unofficial" College Transcripts accepted until "Official" Transcripts are received within two weeks of ACCEPTANCE.
  11. Non-Bar Addendum (If Applicable)


Official Acceptance from Abraham Lincoln University

The Acceptance Committee meets every Tuesday and Thursday to review all applicant files. You will be advised accordingly when the Acceptance Committee has made its decision. If ACCEPTED, you must complete your tuition requirements. ALU also offers the following financing options: Once you have completed all of the above, you will be provided your Acceptance Package that will include the following:
  1. Student ID: registration instructions provided so that you can begin navigating as a current student
  2. Westlaw E-Library Card: registration instructions provided
  3. ALU Book Store: location and website information provided
  4. ALU School/Course Calendar: information provided
