ALU student Tim Bart won the 2005 Jim Thorpe Award

Tim Bart, an Abraham Lincoln University law student and a basketball coach in Oklahoma, was awarded the 2005 Jim Thorpe Award. His Delaware Indian name NIKANIT (Nee-Kaw-Neet) means "He who leads".

The Jim Thorpe award is given to the most outstanding Native American athlete or athletic coach. The following pictures are from the Jim Thorpe Award and his naming ceremony.
