ALU student Tim Bart won the 2005 Jim Thorpe Award
Tim Bart, an Abraham Lincoln University law student and a basketball coach in Oklahoma, was awarded the 2005 Jim Thorpe Award. His Delaware Indian name NIKANIT (Nee-Kaw-Neet) means "He who leads".The Jim Thorpe award is given to the most outstanding Native American athlete or athletic coach.
