Military Spouse Program

Mr. Robert L. Gordon III, the current Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness, has identified military spouse employment as a major readiness issue facing our armed forces.

Mr. Gordon supports a wide array of family programs within the Department of Defense. His overall goal is to promote portable careers for military spouses, easing the strain caused by frequent military PCS moves.

Take control of your future! The DoD has a resource page devoted to portable careers. This page is part of the Military OneSource project, a resource provided by the Department of Defense to servicemembers and their families.

Military OneSource is where to find the latest official information about DoD programs such as the Military Spouse Employment Partnership (MSEP) and the Military Spouse Career Advancement Accounts (MyCAA).

If you live near a major military installation, visit its Family Center or Education Center for great information, advice, and assistance. If you do not live near a major installation, any Department of Labor OneStop office can provide you with up-to-date information on military spouse employment and career development and choosing the right school.

Abraham Lincoln University strives to be an excellent resource for military spouses seeking personal and professional development through online education. The flexibility and attention we offer makes us an excellent choice for military spouses with educational goals alongside work and family obligations. At Abraham Lincoln University, our programs are offered online to be more convienent than other schools.

Contact our Admissions department at (213) 252-5100 today to find out how we can work for you!
