Abraham Lincoln University has partnered with a leading national textbook distribution center. ED MAP, located near Columbus, Ohio, serves a variety of educational institutions, including online and campus-based colleges and universities. The partnership creates a convenient one-stop shopping source for textbooks throughout your ALU studies.

    How to order your textbooks online

  1. To register your account for the first time, have your ALU provided email address or the address that you use to communicate with ALU available.
  2. Have your student ID available.
  3. Know your course code and course title - for example, CMP101 Introduction to Computers.
  4. Click here to go to the ALU Bookstore.
  5. Follow the instructions to order your textbook.

Order your textbook in time to meet your start date
Many of ALU's textbooks are available as eBooks. An eBook is an electronic or digital version of the text. Access to an eBook is immediate upon completion of the ordering process. You can download the eBook to any reading device with internet capability, such as Nook, Kindle Fire, or iPad.

Printed textbooks are typically shipped by ground and may take 5 to 7 days to arrive. To ensure that you have the book on your course start date, please order as soon as you receive notice that you are enrolled in your course.

    Returns policy and instructions
    If you have a change of plans after ordering and receiving a book you no longer need, you may be able to return it. To qualify for a refund, customers must return items to ED MAP within thirty days of the date they were shipped. The Return Form is on the back of the Packing Slip sent with your book(s).

  • Items should be securely packed and returned to: ED MAP, Returns Department, 296 Harper St., Nelsonville, OH 45764. A copy of your invoice should be included with the returned item(s). Complete instructions for returning merchandise are provided on the back of your packing slip that is included in every package. Return labels can also be generated after logging into your bookstore account, clicking the Order Status tab and then clicking the View Details link next to the applicable order number.
  • We strongly recommend that you insure any packages sent to us, as ALU and ED MAP are not responsible for packages lost or damaged during shipment.
  • All returned items must be received in the same condition in which they were purchased. Unless otherwise noted, a shrink-wrapped item or software is not returnable if opened. Shipping is non-refundable.
  • ETextbooks cannot be returned or refunded.
  • Refunds are issued within 3-5 days of receipt of the product by ED MAP. All refunds or credits are issued through the same method of payment in which the product was purchased, e.g., credit card or check.

    Note: Some items in an order may be fulfilled by an ED MAP partner who may have a different returns policy. Items fulfilled by A Book Company, LLC, are subject to a 10% restocking fee and shipping is nonrefundable. To return any purchased books fulfilled by A Book Company, LLC, follow the rental returns process detailed in a separate help article and be sure that your book will be received by them within 30 days of its original shipment date. To return a rental book for a refund, it must be received by them within 15 days of its original shipment date.
