Community Involvement

Theida Salazar is a Los Angeles based attorney and Abraham Lincoln University Alumnus who has been running his own practice since 2014. Most recently, Salazar and his co-counsel Keith Altman have taken on a lawsuit spurred by three different families who lost loved ones in the San Bernardino terrorist attacks in December of 2015.
“No good comes from killing healthy animals, period,” said Lisa Edmondson, a long-time volunteer at Los Angeles Animal Services.   In her years as an animal rights activist, Lisa has seen great progress in Los Angeles, a city she believes is leading the way across the country to make “kill-shelters” a thing of the past.
If you're part of the Los Angeles law community and you sing or play an instrument, consider auditioning for the Los Angeles Lawyers Philharmonic! They are currently looking for musicians and singers in the legal field. ALU is proud to have staff members, faculty, and students participating in “LA’s only legal orchestra.”
Los Angeles, CA:  There are around 13,300 homeless women on the streets of Los Angeles. Abraham Lincoln University, an online law school based in LA, will be teaching an expungement clinic at Downtown Women’s Center on Skid Row in order to address this major cause of sustained homelessness: the criminal record.
